Kids, birthday parties, etc..

Groups of under 16s must arrive with an adult but the adult does not need to enter with them, they can go off for an hour and do some shopping or grab a coffee.

Kids below 12 might not get much out of the room without an adult present to help with puzzles.

We allow well behaved dogs into the rooms, please call in advance to discuss.

We don’t suggest you bring dogs into mutiny as players are handcuffed and visually separated, making dog management difficult.

We have a wheelchair accessible toilet and lift.

All rooms may have aspects that cannot be completed by colour blind players. We have it on the list to implement workarounds to make sure colour blind players can engage with the puzzles but currently (Summer 2024) our focus is on building our 4th experience. Please get in touch if you want to discuss this on bookings@thelockupescaperooms.co.uk and we will see if we can make it work.

Meltdown and Deep Space Brig are wheelchair accessible, Mutiny is not.

Meltdown contains a strobe light, it can be removed for any players with photosensitive epilepsy.

Those under the heavy influence of alcohol will be denied entry without a refund.

Excessive force used against our puzzles and fixtures will not be tolerated.


This is a live experience, late bookings cause problems for other bookings down the line.

After 10 minutes, we may cancel without refund. At managers discretion, we may allow entry with a shorter time allotment.

Call us if you’re going to be late, we will see if we can help.


Full refunds issued to cancellations with more than 48 hours notice. Strictly no refunds beyond that. This applies to refunds as a result of amendments to player numbers and booking time/date.

Bringing an extra member is possible, bring cash or card on the day to pay the difference.
